Freeborn John, also known as John Lilburne, was an English political activist and one of the founders of the Levellers. He used a printing press to publish and distribute his political works and ideas. The press was located in London and was used to print pamphlets and books advocating for civil liberties and individual freedoms. Lilburne believed in the power of the press to spread ideas and mobilize people for political action. He saw it as a means to challenge the authority of the monarchy and the Church of England, both of which he believed were oppressive and corrupt.
